Facebook and Skype testing voice calling for some users

Facebook appears to be testing voice calling directly within the webpage for a limited number of users.

A number of users are seeing a “Call” button beside the “Send Message” and “Poke” buttons on their friend’s profile pages. When pressed the button places a call to the friend.

Facebook and Skype have been working together to bring VOIP to Facebook users as part of the social networks expansion into ubiquitous messaging systems which brings together email, sms and status updates under one interface. Facebook has been rolling out its new messaging system to all users since late last year.
