Twitter’s Discover tab makes its way to your inbox

Twitter’s recently updated Discover tab is making its way to your inbox in the coming weeks by way of a weekly email digest, Twitter revealed on its official blog earlier this evening.

Each week Twitter will send out a summary of the top tweets and stories shared on the service, organised in similar fashion to the recently updated Discover tab. Twitter’s Discover section is designed to allow users to find tweets that they otherwise wouldn’t see and ultimately hopes to increase network value and engagement.

Twitter’s email digest will also include tweets seen by the people you follow, and will indicate who from your network retweeted or favourited these. Crucially, users can tweet their own offerings or opinions to the content they discover directly from the email.

Weekly digests will roll-out globally over “the next few weeks” but, as always, any unwanted notifications can be turned off here.
