Startup Sesame Summit will be dedicated to the future of tech in Europe and beyond

Once again, Startup Sesame has chosen Valencia for its annual gathering. The third biggest city in Spain, Valencia is considered one of the top 50 cities for millennials in the world.

Valencia is all set for the second edition of Startup Sesame Summit, which will be presenting a full-day event dedicated to the future of technology in Europe and beyond.

“A singular conference bringing together startups, investors, corporates and event organizers from all over Europe”

Curated by some of the best events on the continent, this will take place at Valencia’s Palau Almeda on April 5. On April 4, a pre-event day will be held across several locations throughout the city with specific tracks for investors, startup founders, and ecosystem builders. Startup Sesame Summit 2019 will draw together 50 speakers, 50 investors, 50 startups, 50 event organizers, and 500+ international visitors.

“Valencia is becoming a Tech hub with international recognition,” said Sandra Gómez, the first Deputy Mayor of the city of Valencia.

“We are proud to welcome for the second year the Sesame Summit, a singular conference bringing together startups, investors, corporates and event organizers from all over Europe,” she added.

In 2018, the first Startup Sesame Summit brought together over 200 high-profile attendees from 15 countries to Valencia.

The main conference program, curated by key event partners including The Next Web, Arctic15, and South Summit, will include 5 different tracks:

  • Impact
  • Foodtech
  • Cleantech/water and energy
  • Fintech and blockchain
  • Mobility

Speakers to date include Karima Delli, Member of the European Parliament; Robin Wauters, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Tech.eu; Jessica Gioglio, Director of Strategy at Sprinklr; Marvin Liao, Partner at 500 Startups; Raph Crouan, CEO of Startupbootcamp IoT London; Bindi Karia, Innovation Expert & Advisor; Ton van Noordende, CEO of 01 Ventures, and Tanja Kufner, Partner at MHP & Founder of Dynamics VC. Also in attendance will be leading investors from Atomico, Fabric Ventures, Draper Esprit, OneRagtime, Daphni, Dawn Capital, Northzone, Pheidon Capital and Elaia Partners.

In parallel to its annual Summit, Startup Sesame has announced that its new call for entries is now open. Startups can apply here until February 8, 2019. After that, a jury composed of Startup Sesame’s partner events organizers will select 15 startup founders, who will get access to the company’s annual event acceleration programme, including access to the best tech events, mentoring, and coaching – they will compose Startup Sesame’s new batch of startups for its Season 5.

Those 15 finalists will also get the chance to pitch on April 5, 2019 in front of an international audience of mentors, investors and Tech partners during Startup Sesame Summit’s Global Pitch Session. Founders will be invited for free for their pitch at the Summit.

With over 500 startups, 33 investment funds, 40 startup communities and 60 coworking spaces, Valencia is becoming a thriving hub for digital nomads, freelancers, developers, and founders.

Tickets to Startup Sesame Summit 2019 are available here from €85. For more information or press registration, contact info@startupsesame.com.
