Sony Music Ireland website hacked, claims two members of The Script commit suicide

Sony Music Ireland’s website appears to have been hacked earlier this morning after three unlikely stories were published on the news section of the website. One story claimed that Danny O’Donoghue and Mark Sheehan from The Script committed suicide after their gig at the Aviva Stadium last Saturday, while another claimed scientists have proved that watching the X Factor decreases one’s “Intelligence Quote (sic)”.

The third and final story claims that Rebecca Black recently married R. Kelly in Disneyland. The article also goes on to claim how Rebecca has landed herself a top job as part of Sony Music Ireland’s security team.

Sony Music Ireland have since commented saying there is no substance to any of the stories published this morning. The site now redirects to Sony Music Ireland’s Facebook page, although Google cached versions of all stories are still accessible.
